Dear Sir, Mr Lynch has referred your e-mail of 18 August 2009 to me for investigation as I am the information officer at CNI. It appears there is some confusion regarding the nature of the information you and your colleague Mr Davis have sought. As we have stated previously CNI does not hold the bore hole logs (soil samples) as any samples obtained during the feasibility process were provided to the winning bidder in 2008. It may be however that Mr Davis was in fact requesting technical reports on the bore logs in question. If this is indeed what you and Mr Davis are requesting you will find that this information is publicly available. The report by Australasian Groundwater and Environmental Consultants Pty Ltd dated May 2006 which was included in the technical reports attached to the original Environmental Impact Study references all of the bore hole log data (including APL06). We apologise if this was the data that your sought to obtain. It is available both on the CNI website and on the Co-ordinator General's website. The link to the CNI website is: http://www.airportlinkeis.com/OtherLinks/EIS/pdfs/Vol3-TechPapers/02_Groundwater.pdf Yours faithfully, Adrian Breau Legal Manager and In-house Counsel CNI
