Subject: [Fwd: Right to Information Access Application] Dear Sir, My name is Brian Nally and I'm writing in regard to the response to the Wooloowin Worksite Modification Request for Project Change, submitted in my name on 17 July, 2009. Today, 31 July 2009, my colleague Mr Greg Davis has submitted a Right to Information (RTI) Access Application to City North Infrastructure (CNI) for a Borehole Log referred to on p38 of the Wooloowin Worksite Modification Request for Project Change. (Specifics of the application are contained below) The Borehole Log in question contains geotechnical information which can clarify whether significantly poorer soil conditions were known in advance. This knowledge underpins the reason for the proposed change stated in Section 3 of the Wooloowin Worksite Modification Request for Project Change. At this juncture I am aware of existing submissions made prior to the deadline of 17 July 2009 to the Coordinator General which request a delay to the Coordinator General's ruling due to a major discrepancy on p38 of the Request for Project Change document in regard to the soil conditions. I have tried at length to obtain this information via BrisConnections, Thiess John Holland and City North Infrastructure without success. I am now awaiting the response to the RTI enquiry submitted by Mr Greg Davis. RTI applications have a turn around cycle of 25 business days. This will clearly fall outside of the Coordinator General's ruling on the Wooloowin Worksite Modification. I believe the information we are requesting is highly relevant to the Coordinator General's ruling and ask for one of the following: . Should the information in the RTI application be made available to the DIP via internal channels prior to the Coordinator General's ruling, then it also be made available to me at that time. or, . Should the information in the RTI application *not* be made available for the 25 business days allowed then the Coordinator General's ruling be delayed to accommodate this period. In both cases I ask for additional time for a *public* independent geotechnical assessment to be incorporated in the Coordinator General's ruling. Mr Davis has been in contact with the Department of Infrastructure and Planning (DIP) and the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) to provide details of this RTI Application as this may streamline the process.
