Subject: RE: Request for a copy of Bore Logs - Airport Link Project Dear Greg, Thank you for your email of 17 August to David Lynch about Bore Log APL06 and I apologise for the delay in our response. I understand that this issue was discussed in some detail at a meeting on 19 August with senior officers from CNI, BrisConnections and Thiess John Holland (TJH). I understand from these discussions that you looking for the technical reports in relation to this bore hole log and not the physical soil samples themselves. This information is publicy available. CNI's Technical Director advises that the report by Australasian Groundwater and Environmental Consultants Pty Ltd dated May 2006 contains all of the base data required for a complete hydrogeological assessment of all of the bore hole log data (including APL06). The report is available both on the Coordinator-General's website and the CNI website at http://www.airportlinkeis.com/OtherLinks/EIS/pdfs/Vol3-TechPapers/02_Groundwater.pdf As discussed with David Lynch at the 19 August meeting, please contact CNI if you identify a requirement for any information not contained in this report. In relation to the physical samples, CNI does not hold the bore hole logs (soil samples) as any samples obtained during the feasibility process were provided to BrisConnections as the winning bidder in 2008. 2, 3 & 4. As noted above the technical reports are available online and the physical logs are not held by CNI. I understand that BrisConnections General Manager Construction Charles Macdonald has offered to provide you, and any independent technical experts you have engaged, a detailed briefing on the information the company holds on bore log APL06. 5. Bore log APL06 does not form part of the Project Agreement for Airport Link. Please note that CNI is a corporations law company, not a Government Owned Corporation. While corporations law companies are not subject to the Right to Information legislation, the State has publicly released extensive amounts of project documentation including the full suite of contractual arrangements between the State and BrisConnections, key contractual and commercial arrangements between BrisConnections and third parties to deliver the projects and consultation information including the Environmental Impact Statement, Request for Project Change and Coordinator-General's reports. Should you require any further assistance on this matter, CNI officers are happy to assist. You are welcome to contact us on our project information line 1800 990 038 or by email to info@cni.qld.gov.au Regards, Alice ALICE NIXON COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE OFFICER
