Subject: Right to Information Query. Hi. I have a question in relation to the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI) and its applicability to private companies which are fully government owned and managed. Does the RTI (or FOI) apply to any private company in which the sole (or entire shareholder) is the State Government and where the private company's Director are all representatives of State Government bodies? As a lay person (which I am) my reasoning leads me to expect the answer "Yes, a fully State Government owned private company is subject to RTI and FOI". If the answer is "No", could you please provide a reason why such an entity should be excempt from these Acts. Thanks you. Best Regards, Greg.
