Subject: RTI Application to CNI. Katie, Hi. On Friday 31 July 2009, a little after 4pm, I personally attended the offices of City North Infrastructure (Level 30, Comalco Place 12 Creek Street Brisbane Q 4000) to deliver a Right to Information Access Application. I was met at City North Infrastrure (CNI) by receptionist Jane. I handed Jane an envelope containing the Application (with a separate loose fee accompanying the application). She returned with Adrian Breau (Manager - Legal Inhouse Counsel) and one other person. Adrian, with the Application and fee in his hand, told me CNI were not subject to the RTI and that he would throw the letter in the bin. He said under no circumstances could he accept the fee for the RTI. I took the fee from him but left him with the RTI Access Application in an addressed envelope. This morning (Monday 3 August) I am mailing the $38- fee for the RTI Access Application to CNI. I am seeking your help with the following questions: . Is this enough to start the process of the RTI Access Application in motion with CNI and to start the 25 business day clock running? . CNI claim they are not subject to the RTI. They are a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), wholly Government owned and directed. Are you able to clarify their position in regard to the RTI? . The timeliness of the information requested in the Application is significant and relevant to a Proposal currently in the hands of the Coordinator General. Are you able to inform me as to the course the Application will take so I can include this in a submission to the Coordinator General this week? Best Regards, Greg.
